<概要/Course Content Summary> In any modern nation, the education system is a vital function of the state. Criticizing, reforming and improving this system is always a political process. In pluralistic, democratic states like Japan and England, education is inevitably an arena for intense debate about how resources are distributed, how the content of the curriculum is decided, how schools are managed and what the aims and goals of each section of the system should be. <到達目標/Goals,Aims> Students will increase their knowledge and improve their awareness of the political aspects of education in England and Japan. In so doing, students will develop their research skills and their ability to express their ideas in written and verbal forms. <授業計画/Schedule>
