<概要/Course Content Summary>
This course offers live streaming (most likely via Zoom) classes. For the students who are unable to attend the classes, recordings of the classes are made available for a limited time. This course will introduce students to the field of development with a focus on its economic aspect, and review theories/thoughts on the way poor economies become rich and discuss why policies based on them often failed.
<到達目標/Goals,Aims>
The objective of this course is to provide a better understanding of development issues. Students are expected to develop their own insights into the reasons why some economies are industrially advanced and rich, white others remain extremely poor.
