<概要/Course Content Summary>

This is an elementary course where students will get an introduction to the fundamental concepts of business administration.This course will concentrate on major areas of business administration, namely, Management and Human Resources, Marketing, Accounting and Finance, Economics, and International Business.Discussion on these areas will give students a basis for choosing any specific major in business administration.

Upon completion of this course, students will be able to understand: 
1. the functions of business and its relationship to the society 
2. the basic terminologies used in a business environment 
3. the concepts, principles, and operation of the business administration 
4. the various forms of business organizations 
5. the functions of management in a business setting 
6. the role of marketing in a business environment  
7. the role of accounting and finance in a business organization

Course Structure and Evaluation System: 
This course consists of lectures, discussion of cases and presentation. In the semester Fall 2020, it will be conducted online using Zoom. Students should read the assigned materials and cases before joining online classes.It would help them to identify and understand the fundamental concepts related with each chapter. 
The course essentially adopts the perspective of the managers within the corporation or business entity who have to achieve their organizational goals in an ever changing business environment.Throughout the semester, students are required to do the following:  
1. Read the text and class materials as instructed  
2. Attending classes regularly  
3. Participating in various class discussions  
4. Performing the presentations as assigned  
5. Participating in the assignment/evaluation
