<概要/Course Content Summary> This course will use global issues as the content to nurture academic language proficiency, study-abroad preparation, and critical thinking. This course is designed for those in the Global Communications Chinese Course who are already fairly fluent users of English and desire to be prepared for the many kinds of communication situations in which they will find themselves. Naturally, the classes will be conducted entirely in English. The focus of study is learning to listen critically to academic-style lectures, to take appropriate notes, and to develop the speaking, listening and thinking skills necessary for effectively conducting and participating in discussion. <到達目標/Goals,Aims> The overall goal is to promote English proficiency (ability to use English in an academic and/or professional environment).
