＜概要/Course Content Summary＞

In this seminar the students will complete a research paper based on the proposal made in Advanced Seminar 1 while deepening their understanding of approaches in discourse analysis. The class will be conducted around the students' presentations on their own research while critically examining the appropriateness and validity of methods and analyses of the research. The students will constantly revise their research in order to strengthen their argument through the discussions. The students will become able to explain the mechanism of communicative successes and failures， and apply explanatory skills to various situations that they will face in the future.

To complete a research paper.　
To become able to apply the findings to ongoing communications.
