<概要/Course Content Summary> Participants of this course explore various social and political phenomena from security perspectives. The first part of this course is to understand security/human security as a frame of analysis in order to apply it in a case study. Participants of this course then pick up one of the given themes in order to undertake a case study from a security/human security perspective. They will present the theme in a particular case and suggest a possible way to handle the problem. Through security analysis, we will be able to understand social and political phenomena from a different angle as well as grasping the traditional discourse of these themes in social science. <到達目標/Goals,Aims> By the end of this course, participants will be able to 1) understand how to undertake a security analysis, 2) acquire an alternative approach to security/human security, and 3) grasp how varied social and political phenomena can be understood from security/human security perspectives. <授業計画/Schedule>
