<概要/Course Content Summary>

The goals of this course are to introduce students to conference and professional presentation techniques, and to have the students practice creating and delivering oral presentations as well as at least one poster presentation.

After successfully completing this course students will be able to: 
outline and design a conference or academic presentation; 
deliver a conference style presentation using computer support; 
design and create an academic poster presentation.

Schedule subject to change; student presentations may begin earlier than indicated above. The number of presentations made by each student will depend on the number of students in the class and other scheduling issues (3 to 6 presentations with 4 presentations being likely: one 25 minutes long, one 12 minutes long, one poster presentation, and one additional presentation). There may be other changes due to anti-COVID-19 measures.

<成績評価基準/Evaluation Criteria>

Attendance & Participation  20%  Attendance at all class meetings is required. 
Outlines  10%  This is the material prepared before entering it into the computer-presentation software. 
Slides and Oral Presentations  50%  These are the slides created in the computer-presentation software combined with the actual oral presentations. 
Poster(s)  20%  This score is based on the poster(s). 

The above is the tentative grading scheme, but it is subject to change. Some changes may occur as a result of anti-COVID-19 measures.
