<概要/Course Content Summary> This course introduces graduate students of science and engineering courses to scientific perspectives on evolution of earth and planetary systems with particular emphasis on the earth's environmental history. We explore how geological and geophysical processes have shaped the environments of the earth and other earth-like planets of our solar system. Fundamental knowledge on earth science of the undergraduate level is required. <到達目標/Goals,Aims> The objective of this class is to develop a better understanding of formation of the earth system from viewpoints of earth’s evolutionary history and comparative planetology. Students should gain an appreciation for the complexity and uniqueness of earth’s environment. <授業計画/Schedule>
