<概要/Course Content Summary>
This course provides an introduction to the strategic integration of communication and of Information Technology (IT). Organizations need to strategically adopt disruptive technology to differentiate from competitors in an era of “disruption” where change is unprecedented in terms of speed and scope with demographics, culture, customer needs and preferences, globalization and technology. The course recognizes that understanding emerging technologies and developing insights for their potential are important for students to build their confidence and perspective to become effective business leaders. Specific topics of the course include: The strategic use of IT in marketing communications (AI, AR, VR, MR, IoT, Drone, etc.) Emerging IT architectures and their relation to transformation of user experience. Technology and transformation of internal and external communications for organizations. Communication grand design, integrating IT to engage customers and employees to elevate brand experience. User experience with IT at every touch point of customer journey.

Students who successfully complete this course will have:
1. A clear understanding of the key elements of effective business and communications strategies in an era of digital transformation. 2. A foundation for designing business communication with a clear perspective of emerging information technologies and their potential to enhance business. 3. Insights for ramifications of the new technologies and potential threats that organization and the society may face. 4. The ability to formulate a strategy in elevating user experience to enhance loyalty of customers and stakeholders.
