<概要/Course Content Summary>

This course teaches and provides practice in various practical skills and knowledge areas that are important in business. The focus for learning, practice and discussion is on strengthening of each student’s communication skills in business scenes. Attention is also given to how individual students can develop and deliver impactful messages and compelling narratives in various forms and styles of communication. Specific topics of the course include, speaking in public, giving presentations, speaking in press interviews and conferences, creating videos, preparing for and handling challenging questions by the press.

To develop a critical and practical understanding of effective communication and sharpen communication skills that would be essential for each to become an influencer / spokesperson who makes a difference in an organization, community and the society.

<成績評価基準/Evaluation Criteria>

平常点(出席,クラス参加,グループ作業の成果等)  20%  Attendance / Participation / Contribution 
中間レポート試験  30%  Presentation / Contents / Analysis / Depth of understanding 
期末レポート試験・論文  30%  Presentation / Contents / Analysis / Depth of understanding 
提出物  20%  Presentation / contents / analysis 

The grading of the course comprises following assessment factors. 
1)Class Attendance and Contribution 20%: participation in class discussions and contribution in team works to the other students for their better understanding topics of discussions 
2)Assignment 20%: depth of understanding, student’s analysis, presented of solutions to issues 
3)Midterm presentation 30%: depth of understanding and analysis displayed in reports and presentations 
4)Final Presentation 30%: depth of understanding and analysis displayed in reports and presentations
