＜概要/Course Content Summary＞
This is an advanced course that uses statistics as tools to analyze operations processes, especially Asian companies and supply chains.
Statistics is required for this course. Students are expected to have basic knowledge of stistics before registering this course.
This course introduces the operations management practices in Asian countries，especially Japanese companies. The topics include basic formulas of increasing capacity utilization， reducing inventory， and eliminating variability among processes. Practices of companies such as Toyota， Canon， Sony， Samsung， Huawei and others will be used as cases.

The aim of this course is to train business leaders. From this course， students will learn how to use analytic tools to analyze real-world operations problems confronted by a specific company. Equations and model are explained so that students can use them to deal with real-life business problems.
