<概要/Course Content Summary>
Japanese Pop Culture has proliferated globally. Japanese pop culture includes game, anime, manga, music, film, fashion and food and cultural tourism. What makes these distinctive Japanese styles so appealing and what meaning do they carry? Does Kawaii plainly mean cute or is there a deeper understanding to be uncovered? This course offers insight into Japanese culture, economy, and business systems.

By attending and participating actively in each class, the student will be able to acquire: 1. knowledge on Japanese culture, including traditional culture and pop culture. 2. skills to apply business strategy in the development and proliferation of Japanese pop culture. 3. attitude to analyze and appreciate culture, in general, in relation to the role of business in societies.
