＜概要/Course Content Summary＞

Globalization has shaped education, and education in turn impacts globalization. This seminar examines the relationship between globalization and education from an historical perspective. 　
　
The seminar will require the following: 　
1. Weekly readings　
2. Weekly written assignments (approximately 300 words --- English)　
3. Weekly discussion　
4. Semester paper (approximately 3,000 words --- English)　
　
The semester paper will map the global connections (including historical) of a local education-related activity or institution of their choice.

＜到達目標/Goals,Aims＞

By the end of this course, students will arrive at a deeper understanding of the relationship between education and globalization. in addition to critical thinking skills connected to course content, students will acquire debating skills, reading skills, and writing skills.
