＜概要/Course Content Summary＞

In this seminar we will continue our studies in European Law, but instead of the law of the Council of Europe and especially human rights jurisdiction of the ECHR we will focus on the law of the European Union (EU), choosing recent cases decided by the European Court of Justice (ECJ) in Luxemburg. We will deal with judgements of the ECJ in the area of freedom, security and justice, based on its annual report. Students will have to prepare summarized presentations of the judgements in English. The whole seminar will take place in English.

＜到達目標/Goals,Aims＞

students will learn about legal principles and structure of the EU through the jurisdiction of the ECJ, which will contribute to the increase of their knowledge in international legal issues.

平常点(出席，クラス参加，グループ作業の成果等)  100%  Student will present cases in online-classes and deliver short summaries on assigned issues. Grades will be given based on these performances. 

evaluation takes place based on the quality of the case presentations and active discussion.
