<概要/Course Content Summary>
Recommended levels: CEFR B2+, TOEFL ITP 540+, TOEFL iBT 72+ This four-skills class will introduce students to a variety of current sociocultural topics and global issues through lectures, readings, and excerpts from documentary films. Students will learn key vocabulary, answer comprehension exercises on topical readings and videos, and participate in discussions with other students. At the end of the course, each student will give a short poster presentation on an issue within a country of their choice.

After completing this course, students will have widened their perspective on issues facing different groups of people throughout the world and at home. Students will have improved their reading and listening comprehension and expanded their vocabulary on current topics. Students will have developed their critical thinking skills by making inferences from readings and using their knowledge to participate in group discussions. Students will have developed their presentation skills and become more comfortable and confident presenting in English.
