<概要/Course Content Summary>

Recommended levels - CEFR B2+, TOEFL ITP 540+, TOEFL iBT 72+  
 
This critical thinking and discussion course is designed to prepare students to express themselves and debate topics in English. Students will learn to communicate their opinions in a group setting, which is a common experience while studying abroad. 
Students will prepare for and participate in challenging group discussions and debates. 
Students will develop quick critical thinking skills.

After completing this course, students will be more confident participating in group discussions and debates in English. Students will be able to come up with arguments for or against topics more quickly, and will have improved their critical thinking skills.

<成績評価基準/Evaluation Criteria>

Weekly homework assignments  40%  Completion of textbook article and vocabulary assignments 
Attendance, attitude, and participation  60%  Active participation in group discussions. Strong effort on discussion reports. 

The majority of your score for this class will be based on your active participation in class activities and discussions, as the purpose of this class is to prepare you for class discussions abroad.
