<概要/Course Content Summary>

In this senior seminar class, we will continue with our readings in the Lightbown and Spada text finishing with the senior thesis.

Show a continuing basic understanding of second language acquisition.

(実施回/ Week) 1~10  (内容/ Contents) Popular ideas about language learning: facts and opinions-with student presentations.  (授業時間外の学習/ Assignments) Homework, preview and review as assigned by the instructor. 
(実施回/ Week) 11~14  (内容/ Contents) Final Paper, Presentation, Summary and Consolidation  (授業時間外の学習/ Assignments) Class review and preparation for the next class. 
(実施回/ Week) 15  (内容/ Contents) Comprehensive Overview  (授業時間外の学習/ Assignments) Class review

<成績評価基準/Evaluation Criteria>

Attendance and Class Participation  20%  Prompt and regular attendance is reguired and students are expected to participate in group and class discussions. 
Paper  40%  A 2000-word paper or first on second language acguisition,possibly leading to the Senior Thesis,is expected. 
Final Exam  40%  The final will be a comprehensive overview of all class topics coverd.
