<概要/Course Content Summary>
We will read short stories and poems, and watch a film, all of which have a comic, surreal, or a darkly humorous character. Poets and writers discussed in this class will be: James Tate, Ring Lardner, John Cheever, James Thurber, Allen Ginsberg, along with a film by Stanley Kubrick. Complete all assigned readings for each meeting before coming to class.
