＜概要/Course Content Summary＞

In this course, students will read articles and watch videos related to topical news stories. Students will practice all four language skills (listening, reading, speaking, writing) while engaging with content taken from online media. After watching video content to introduce topics, homework will involve reading articles and preparing to discuss the key issues related to them. Classroom activities will mostly focus on group discussions and the use of collaborative tasks. Students will also have the opportunity to practice their presentation and writing skills.

＜成績評価基準/Evaluation Criteria＞

平常点(出席，クラス参加，グループ作業の成果等)  40%  Students are expected to be actively involved in class talks and contribute during assessed discussions 
小レポート  30%  Students will write one short essay and complete an internet research assignment.　
 
クラスで発表など  10%  Students will do a group presentation. 
小テスト  20%  Students will take four vocabulary quizzes.
