<概要/Course Content Summary>

The Discipline of Jewish Studies: Its Origins and Developments to This Day 
 
The academic discipline of Jewish studies is an interdisciplinary field based on the analysis and investigation of Jewish history,religion,language,and literature. The discipline includes the study of Jews and Judaism from antiquity to the present day. It explores Judaism not only as a religion but as a civilization and culture. This course will introduce the students to a chronological and thematic view of the subject and to various methodological approaches.

The students will become able to identify different trends in Jewish Studies historically and methodologically and work in the field doing their own research.

<成績評価基準/Evaluation Criteria>

期末レポート試験・論文  100%  教員と相談の上,授業の内容に関するレポートを作成する。
